Each VST Precision Filter Basket is micro-machined to perfection, individually scanned and measured for hole and extraction uniformity. VST remains the only company in the world to image every hole of every filter it produces. What does that mean? It means that every filter of a given size has an identical open area to every other filter of the same size that we produce.

In practice, this means that every shot pulls exactly as you’d expect it to, and exactly like every shot pulled with another VST basket. This saves you from wasting coffee grounds because for any given filter size, you only need to dial in a new recipe once - it will be the same across other VST baskets. So with a VST Basket, your 100,000th pull will be exactly the same as your first one. Other baskets change total open area as they age.

Compatible with nearly all 58mm portafilters and available in both Standard Ridged and Ridgeless versions, these filters deliver repeatable, café-quality results, shot after shot. If you’re chasing espresso excellence, this is your essential tool.

• VST's precision filter baskets deliver consistent extraction performance over a wide range of concentration with reduced sediment
• Designed to extract properly as a ristretto, normale or lungo with minimal or no change in grind setting at a fixed dose
• VST Precision Filter Baskets are carefully made and matched to have a total open area within +/- 5%. This ensures identical performance across all basket sizes. Other filter baskets typically vary from 50-200% of total open area, making them wildly inconsistent. 
• Enables the precision use of volumetric style espresso machines
• Holes are fabricated using a new micro-machine and finishing process
• Hole pattern is centered to +/- 1.0 mm and placement is oriented for uniform extraction throughout the entire puck
• 100% of holes are measured on every filter for min/max range limits of area and diameter to a precision of typically +/- 20 µm 
• All holes are measured for circularity, placement, square area, and blockage. Filters that do not meet VST strict manufacturing tolerances are recycled, not sold
• Wide outlet angle to prevent filters from clogging, which allows for fast cleaning
• VST Filter Baskets are made from 20% thicker food grade stainless-steel than other filters
• This improved structural integrity will withstand deflection from pump cycling without premature fatigue failures (see VST Warranty)

• 25-g, 22-g & 7-g fits all La Marzocco and Most Synesso and Nuova Simonelli models using their standard portafilters.
• 20g, 18g & 15g fits most La Marzocco, Synesso, Nuova Simonelli, Faema, La Cimbali, Rancilio with standard portafilters
• Some Faema, La Cimbali, Rancilio may require a bottomless portafilter to use VST filters larger than 18g
• Please note: VST Filters DO NOT fit 49, 53 or 54mm portafilters

• 25, 22, 20, 18, 15-g baskets: 58.40 +0.00 -0.05mm diameter flat face tamper
• 7-g baskets: 40.7-40.9mm tamper for tamping the inside, smaller diameter only
